We are a Medicare approved Pharmacy, which means our Registered Pharmacists can supply medication at the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) subsidised price for patients who have a Medicare card.
In 2024 this means for medications listed on the PBS if you have a centrelink concession card you will pay $7.70 (plus any brand price premiums for selected original brands), and if not, you will pay $31.60 (plus any brand price premiums for selected original brands).
Medicare has a reciprocal health care agreement with other countries in the commonwealth, so patients from these countries can use a special medicare number to receive subsidised medication when in Australia.
Medication that is not subsidised by the PBS is known as Private Medication; we endeavour to keep our pricing reasonable for these medications.
In Western Australia Schedule 2 or Pharmacy Only Medication & Schedule 3 Pharmacist Only Medication must be stored behind the front counter. It is the pharmacist’s legal duty to ensure they are supervising the sale of these medications to ensure they are appropriate and safe for the patient using them. If you are requesting a medication that is stored behind the counter, we will ask questions to fulfill our responsibility to you to ensure the medication is safe for you and appropriate for the condition you are using it for.
Schedule 4 Medication or Prescription Only Medication, is medication that a patient must have a prescription from a relevant prescriber, for us to supply/dispense.
We can supply prescription medication for animal use, if an appropriate prescription is provided from a veterinarian.
