At Boyup Brook Pharmacy, our primary role is the safe dispensing of medication prescribed by a doctor. We are approved by Medicare to supply medication at the Medicare subsidised price. We stock a large range of prescription medication, and if we do not have the medication you require in our dispensary, we will place an order (by 1.30pm) with our wholesaler and have it delivered the next day.
As part of our duty of care ensuring the medication you have been prescribed is safe for you to take, we are likely to ask questions about your previous history, allergies, weight (if its for a child), and what the medication is for.
Electronic Prescriptions
Electronic Prescriptions are gradually replacing paper prescriptions, our Pharmacy Software is set up so that we can dispense Electronic Prescriptions either from a code on your device, or from your Active Script List (ASL).
Electronic Prescriptions may seem daunting, but at Boyup Brook Pharmacy we like to keep things as simple and practical as possible. The easiest way for you to manage electronic scripts is for us to activate your Active Script List so that we can see all your electronic scripts in our dispensary software. No more worrying about losing messages & codes, simply visit us, we can show you your available scripts & dispense them hassle free.
Electronic Prescriptions are excellent in that if you find yourself away from home & you have run out of medication, simply visit the nearest pharmacy with electronic prescription access & they can dispense your prescription for you, once you have given them permission to view your ASL. If you have an Electronic Prescription but really feel lost without the piece of paper, just ask us to print a paper copy for you to keep.
Prescription Filing Service
Paper Prescriptions keep getting lost or destroyed? Ask us to file your prescriptions for you & we will safely & securely store them in our filing system for no charge.
Medications for your Pets
At Boyup Brook Pharmacy we are happy to assist your furry friends with their medication too. If you have a prescription written by a vet, we are happy to dispense it, providing it is a medication we can source.
Compounded Medication
At Boyup Brook Pharmacy we can compound simple medications, for more complex compounding, we will refer your prescription to a compounding pharmacy & will organise the compounding and delivery to our pharmacy.
